Phoenix (Chinese: Feng Huang) Dancong is a highly significant variety of Chinese Oolong tea, originating from Phoenix Mountain in Chao’an County, Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, with a cultivation history that dates back to the Song Dynasty. Phoenix Dancong tea comes from exceptional single tea bushes of the Feng Huang Shuixian variety, which have been carefully cultivated and processed by generations of tea farmers over hundreds of years. Historically, because the fresh leaves resemble bird beaks, local tea farmers referred to it as "Bird Beak Tea," a name that remained until 1956 when it was officially renamed "Feng Huang Dancong (鳯凰單叢)"
Originating from the birthplace of the core area of Phoenix Single-Plum Tea, a 1000-acre original ecological ancient tea garden. Located at 23°56'55" north latitude, 116°39'33" east longitude, at an altitude of 1150 meters, this mountain area has short days and long clouds, and the mountain wind blowing through the forest brings the natural fragrance of flowers and fruits. The first-picked raw materials of the new season are processed by the experienced tea master Yongbin She through three rounds of hand-fermentation and Carbon-roasting. This perfectly locks in the high-pitched aroma of the single-temple tea and the vitality of the mountain area.
The tea infusion is golden and clear, with a smooth and delicate taste on the palate. The strong aroma rushes forward without being overbearing. The fragrance of orchid, ripe fruits, and a unique sweet flavor interweave and intensify layer by layer. The first sip can already feel the unique coolness and thickness of the mountain area, with a full-bodied yet clean and light infusion. After swallowing, the lingering aftertaste is quick and deep, and the cold fragrance at the bottom of the cup is clear and long-lasting.
This is a high-end Yashixiang tea that combines the mountain atmosphere, craftsmanship, and drinking experience. It does not rely on exaggerated aroma, but rather defines a true high-end quality tea through its stable sweetness, long-lasting aroma, and consistent performance.
