The name of Baxian Single Camellia Tea is derived from a century-old legend - in 1898, a tea farmer took cuttings from an outstanding mother tree (formerly known as "Big Black Leaves(大乌叶)") on Wudong Mountain and eventually got eight plants to survive. Each of them had its own unique characteristics. In 1958, they were given the beautiful name "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea", and later were simply called "Eight Immortals". This variety is the top high-smelling tea among the Phoenix Single Camellia Teas. The finished tea is known for its prominent camellia flower aroma, with a clear and refreshing fragrance that lasts for a long time. The tea soup is golden and clear, and when you drink it, it is sweet, fresh, and has a lingering throat sensation. The aftertaste contains a unique "mountain flavor". It belongs to the "late-budding variety", and is harvested at the very end of spring each year. Therefore, it is called "收山茶" (tea from the end of the season), as if it embodies the essence of the entire spring. Baixian originated from Fengxiya Houcun in Fenghuang Mountain, Chaotou, and is mainly grown in mountainous areas above 900 meters in altitude. The excellent mountain conditions have created its outstanding quality, making it highly valuable. Among them, the old tea trees with long ages are particularly precious and are the most representative classic varieties among the Single Camellia Teas.

Aroma:The elegant and layered fragrance of camellia flowers is clearly distinguishable from the dry tea, to the warm aroma, and even to the bottom of the cup. What’s more unique is that this floral aroma can fully blend into the golden tea soup, forming a “water carrying fragrance”. When drinking, the floral fragrance spreads throughout the mouth, bringing a long-lasting aftertaste. Beneath it, there is a faint hint of the honey sweetness brought by roasting and the unique stability and depth of the old tea bush aroma, together forming its distinctive “mountain aroma”.
