Above the cloud line at an altitude of 1,150 meters in the Phoenix Mountains, there is a small area of about 3 mu of original tea forest. Here, there is a group of the oldest almond-scented mother trees still existing. According to the survey conducted by the Tea Research Institute, there are only 47 pure almond-scented ancient tea trees remaining, among which the oldest one is over 210 years old and produces less than 50 kilograms of refined tea per year.
The "Almond Flavor" variety of Phoenix Single Camellia is a type of oolong tea renowned for its distinctive almond aroma. It is one of the ten classic flavors of the Phoenix Single Camellia. In the local area of Chaoshan, it also has a vivid colloquial name, called "Ju Duo Zai", which is derived from the obvious serrated edges of the tea leaves.
This tea is a private conversation between the century-old tea trees in the crevices of Wudong Mountain and the universe - with the delicate almond flavor as the trigger, it brings in the milk aroma and floral fragrance into the water, transforming the slight bitterness into a long-lasting aftertaste. Every sip is a precious resonance between the taster and the fading local cultural legend.
