JASMINE TEA
Jasmine tea (Chinese: 茉莉花茶)is a type of reprocessed tea. It is renowned for its harmonious blend of the fresh and lasting jasmine fragrance and the tea aroma, and is hailed as "drinkable floral fragrance".
The core of this lies in the unique "窨(xun)制" process, which involves allowing the tea (mostly pan-fired green tea, but also black tea, white tea, etc.) to repeatedly absorb the fragrance released by fresh jasmine flowers, and then separating the flowers while retaining only the essence of the tea. High-quality jasmine tea is often only fragrant with the scent of the flowers, and the flower stems are rarely visible (in some varieties, a small amount of flower stems may be retained for display purposes).
